What we strive for in our customers?

We provide permanent microchip identification for all of our adults and puppies. Your new puppy comes to you already fitted with a tiny harmless microchip that will stay safely in place for life, offering protection from loss, theft or separation due to natural or personal disaster.

The microchip number is unique and belongs only to your puppy.

You and your puppy will be enrolled in PETtrac™, the largest private 24 hour pet recovery network in the United States. We handle the entire process! We can even include your veterinarian’s information and an alternate contact of choice. Shelters, vets, and rescue teams scan for microchips. If ever lost, your puppy can find his way home to you when his number is scanned and PETtrac is alerted. Operators are standing by 24 hours a day to help reunite you and your pet. PETtrac manages over 1000 calls each day and has helped thousands of lost pets get back home.

We are proud to offer you this service as part of our Standard of Care.

Buyer Beware

There's ONLY ONE Yorkshire Terrier classification "Toy Breed" plain and simple! There are  no "teacup" no "teddy bear" no "babydoll" no "miniature" no "purse puppy" they don't exist. The very registery these breeder have the litter registered with, only reconices one type of Yorshire Terrier "yorkie" that class is "TOY Breed"  It also states that a adult yorkie will rang in size from 4 - 7 pounds.  The only way you get a yorshire terrier smaller than four pounds in breeding to runts of litters.

The AKC website http://www.akc.org/breeds/yorkshire_terrier/

A puppy that is expected to be smaller than four pounds as a adult is dangerous. A tiny yorkie baby that is fragile is prone to health problems and often nothing but a heartbreak Reputable breeders will on occasision have  smaller puppies from a normal sized breeding pair, these puppies are not as high risk being conceived from normal size parents, unlike breeders that purposely breed their tiniest adults for the sole purpose of producing very undersized yorkie puppies.

These breeders are convincing a buyer they're investing in something special. They price on size not quality. . The smaller the dog the larger the vet bills! All to offten these pups are sick and  have a high risk of hypoglycemia.

Hypoglycemia, (the medical term for low blood sugar) is a condition resulting in a drastic, sudden drop in the level of blood sugar in puppies. Hypoglycemia is found in tiny yorkies or under weight puppies brought on by poor diet, lack of food consumbtion, stess, infections or parasites.

A healthy Yorkshire Terrier "yorkie" is a proud, high spirited, exciting little terrier who thinks it's as big as a you are. That's what we strive for in our puppies. We want our puppies to be healthy and high spirted, our customers to be well informed on there new family member.

Reasons to Dock or Not Dock the Tail of a Yorkie

There is not reason based on the health or happiness to dock the tail of a Yorkie.  Having a docked tail does not improve any vital element of the dog including motor skills or health.  Why are Yorkie tails docked?  The only reason is so that the dog fits the breed standard of the AKC and the other dog clubs that call out for it.

If the owner of a Yorkie is not planning on showing their dog in dog shows, there is no reason to dock the tail, other than a personal preference to have a dog who matches closest to breed standard conformation.

If an owner is planning to show their Yorkie in an AKC,
ANKC, CKC, NZKC or UKC Conformation Event, the tail must be docked.

This procedure is done solely for appearance.

If an owner is planning to not show their Yorkie in an AKC, ANKC, CKC, NZKC or UKC conformation event, there is no reason that a tail must be docked. However, many owners will not have a say, as most will obtain their yorkie puppy well after the procedure has already been done.

What Exactly is Docking?

Docking is the procedure that is done to Yorkie puppies, in many counties, in which their naturally long tail is made shorter. via amputation.   This causes the dog's tail to stand straight and erect.

How is a Yorkie's Tail Docked?  When is the Tail Docked on a  Yorkie?

This can be done in 1 of 2 ways.

The 1st involves constricting the blood supply to the Yorkie tail with a rubber ligature for a few days . When done correctly,  the top part of the tail will fall off.  This is normally done when the puppy is 24 to 96 hours old.  The puppy's tail falls off in about 3 days.

The  2nd involves the cutting of the dog's tail with surgical scissors or a scalpel
, performed by a veterinarian.  When done this way, it is normally done at the age of  2 to 5 days.  Anesthesia
is not used.  When carried out correctly, the procedure causes only a brief period of discomfort.

Why?  Because the puppy does not have a fully developed nervous system.

If a puppy does not have this done at the above early
age, it's recommended to wait until the puppy is older than 10 weeks.  this is done with the dog under anesthesia, and can be done when you spayed or neutered your pet.
